From the recording Every Small Town has a Mighty Name
This song is about the towns located in Georgia's 14th U.S. Congressional District where the Founding Gaia Knight Rob Rush lives and is Running for U.S. Congress to unseat the infamous Marjorie Taylor Greene. Over 50 other U.S. Congressional Districts across the United States are similar to Georgia's 14th. These mostly rural, small town, with some suburban area's around the country have been ignored by their State Capitals and Washington D.C. just like the poor ethnically diverse marginalized Urban Communities located all across the U.S. in our larger City's. The Marginalization of All of these Community's be must come to an end now. The voices of these community's must be heard in their State Capital's as well as Washington D.C.!!! - All of our Voices Matter!
Lyrics
No longer will the voices of Georgia’s 14th be ignored in D.C.
In Dalton, factories hum, carpets roll,
Dreams are stitched in heart and soul.
Marching feet on courthouse ground,
Voices rise where hope is found.
From Dalton to Rome, to Dallas they sing,
The people, the power, the promise they bring.
Past and tomorrow in one beating flame,
Every small town has a mighty name.
In Rome, river bends where old walls stand,
Sacred stones in Georgia’s hand.
Faith and song through trials endure,
Heritage strong, the future sure.
From Dalton to Rome, to Dallas they sing,
The people, the power, the promise they bring.
Past and tomorrow in one beating flame,
Every small town has a mighty name.
In Dallas & Beyond, food trucks roll and lights ignite,
Friday nights are burning bright.
Heroes honored, voices loud,
Community strong, forever proud.
And in between, from farms to hills,
Cedartown fields to Summerville mills.
From Rockmart streets to Rising Fawn skies,
The 14th speaks, and hope will rise.
Ringgold stands where the battles were fought,
LaFayette’s heart can’t be bought.
Fort Oglethorpe to Buchanan’s square,
Every voice matters, everywhere.
Silver Comet cuts the night,
Battlefields hold memory’s light.
Growth and struggle, loss and gain,
Still the spirit will remain.
From Dalton to Rome, to Dallas they sing,
The people, the power, the promise they bring.
Past and tomorrow in one beating flame,
Every small town has a mighty name.(over ringing guitars fading out)
It’s long overdue for all of our voices to be heard in D.C.
Let’s make it happen together at Rush Congress dot com
